Miss Romania United States 2008
The Miss Romania United States Organization proudly presents its Second Annual Miss Romania United States Beauty Pageant, scheduled to take place on June 20th and 22nd in Chicago, IL.
The Miss Romania United States Pageant is the premier event in the Romanian American community and is the only Romanian American pageant in the United States.
This year, the Pageant will take place in two glamorous nights. The first night, June 20th, the contestants will appear at the Romanian Social Hall, 4225 N Central Ave in Chicago and will be part of an Ethnic Night. In front of the Judges for the first time, the contestants will present a fashion show of Romanian traditional costumes and will share with Romanian and American guests an evening of Romanian tradition, culture, food and dance.
The second night, June 22nd, is scheduled to take place at the Copernicus Theatre, one of the first and most prestigious theatres in Chicago. Over 2,000 guests will be hosted by the well known Romanian TV show host, Dan Negru form Antena 1, Romania and Ligia Florescu, local actress and future TV anchor for the Romanian TV in Chicago.
The show presents the 15 contestants from 9 US States in an explosive 2 hour event. Each contestant will be judged in four categories: swimsuit, evening gown, talent and interview. The show will conclude with one contestant ultimately being crowned Miss Romania United States 2008.
At the end of the pageant, Dan Balan aka Crazy Loop, former O-Zone member, singer and producer of “The Numa Numa”, “Dragostea din Tei” and “Mm Ma Ma” songs will entertain the crowd with an exclusive concert produced by Tutto Bene Entertainment. His songs have topped the charts in Europe and US, his videos have been the most watched on YouTube and MySpace and have been the subject of hundreds of contests worldwide. Crazy Loop will perform for the first time in US his latest hits “Johanna”, “Despre Tine Cant” and the song that is currently number one in many European countries “Mm Ma Ma”.
