The 2009 Miss DIASPORA Romania USA was chosen last week by the Panel of Judges to be Marcie Streza from Addison, IL. She is 19 years old and she loves folk dancing, playing tennis and soccer. Marcie loves the Twilight book series and enjoys any homemade food, especially her grandma’s cooking. Founded in 2007, the Miss Romania United States™ Pageant is the premier event in Romanian American community and plans to be the longest running Romanian American pageant in the United States. Since its inception, the Miss Romania United States ™ Pageant has been a platform for the growth and inspiration of young Romanian American women but also as a path towards building a stronger community for Romanian Americans, as well.
